Critical Success Factors

It's not that what you are doing isn't important in general, it's whether it is the most important thing you could be doing -- right now. Ask yourself, what is the highest and best use of my time -- right now.

Or, asked another way - is what I am doing now making the largest contribution possible. (Of course, only ask this question about "up time" - during "down time" it makes no sense.) Could I be doing something else that would make an even larger contribution? Is what I am doing critical to my success?

Strategy is the allocation of scarce resource to best achieve your goals. Most of us would list time as a scarce resource. Make sure you are using your up time to work on factors which are critical to your business.
